Meet The Founder

Angele DeLarge is a seasoned consultant with over 17 years of invaluable expertise in the world of strategic planning, leadership development, and process design. With an innate curiosity that fuels a relentless quest for solutions, Angele is drawn to work that stimulates inquiry, provides depth of meaning, and resolves complex organizational challenges.

The journey into consultancy was fueled by an insatiable drive to navigate the intricate landscapes of organizational dynamics, seeking fulfillment in crafting innovative strategies that overcome obstacles. With a wide range of experience across both for-profit and non-profit sectors, Angele has developed a profound understanding and expertise that generates innovative and successful outcomes.

As the leader of DeLarge Strategies and throughout her career developing leaders, programs, and organizations, Angele has gained extensive experience spanning both for-profit and non-profit sectors, Angele has cultivated a wealth of knowledge to drive innovative and successful outcomes. For instance, Angele frequently collaborates with for-profit enterprises, guiding them to align their strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs) with their mission and values. This comprehensive approach fosters inclusivity and empowers them to achieve financial and people-centric goals. On the other hand, my focus with non-profit organizations lies in developing strategies and internal processes that enhance accountability towards tangible organizational objectives. By doing so, we create a solid foundation for progress and growth.

Angele has also built a diverse career in education, having held full-time positions with the Orleans Parish Schools, East Baton Rouge Schools, Teach for America, the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools, and Clover (formerly Kingsley House). She is a proud alumna of Louisiana State University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Public Administration, specializing in Organizational/Program Strategy and Leadership Development. Angele also holds degrees from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and Loyola University's Institute of Politics. In addition to her professional achievements, she is happily married to the Honorable Marcus DeLarge, a district judge in New Orleans, and is the proud mother of two wonderful children.

  • If your leadership style had a theme song, what would it be, and why does it perfectly capture your approach?

My leadership style resonates deeply with the timeless optimism and boundless potential encapsulated in "Imagine" by John Lennon. The song paints a vivid picture of a world filled with collaboration, harmony, and the belief that anything is possible when people come together. Similarly, my approach to leadership is rooted in the idea that fostering a collaborative environment, where diverse perspectives converge, unlocks innovation and brings about positive change. "Imagine" embodies the essence of my leadership philosophy — a world where visionary thinking, empathy, and collective efforts pave the way for transformative outcomes.

Can you describe your approach to strategic planning using only one sentence, but it has to include a movie or TV show reference?

My strategic planning approach is similar to bringing "The Avengers" together to defeat a common enemy (challenge) by identifying diverse strengths, increasing our knowledge base, finding the root of the problem, and leveraging each team member's unique abilities to achieve a powerful and unified vision for success."

If you were to write a fortune cookie message for someone on their leadership development journey, what would it say?

"Embark on your leadership journey with the firm belief that growth is a continuous process, and every challenge is an opportunity to refine your skills. Embrace the ever-evolving landscape of leadership with an open mind, as each experience becomes a stepping stone toward your fullest potential."

If you could turn one childhood game into a groundbreaking process design methodology, which game would it be, and how would you implement it in a corporate setting?

If I were to transform a childhood game into a revolutionary process design methodology, it would undoubtedly be 'Building Blocks'! Each block represents a unique skill or aspect of a project, fostering creativity and collaboration. Applying this methodology in a corporate setting would involve assembling cross-functional teams as 'block builders,' encouraging them to collaboratively construct solutions by leveraging their strengths. Just like in childhood, the process would embody the belief in growth and continuous learning, allowing teams to iterate, innovate, and build upon their collective expertise for optimal outcomes."

If you had a superhero alter ego based on your strategic planning skills, what would your superhero name be, and what special power would you possess?

As "The Visionary," I possess the inherent talent of foresight and the ability to perceive unexpected connections, transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary.

Just like serendipity leads to delightful and unforeseen discoveries, my strategic approach embraces the unexpected, transforming challenges into golden opportunities. With a blend of creativity and foresight, I navigate the strategic landscape with agility, always poised to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. In the realm of strategic planning, every twist and turn presents a chance for innovation and success!
